Need to Remove "Alpha Antivirus"?
Don't make the
same mistakes I did!
Alpha Antivirus is a
dangerous Rogue
Antispyware Program that is extremely difficult to remove. The
program uses sneaky, aggressive advertising techniques to con
users into installing it and/or purchasing the bogus "full"
version.
I know because I was infected with it. I
battled this nasty program over the course of several days - I
tried manual removal and quite a few removal tools and not a
single one of them ended up working. I was beyond
frustrated. Then I was introduced to Spyware
Doctor by a computer friend of mine and literally
within a few minutes I was rid of Alpha Antivirus for
good.
Because of my experience, I decided to put
up this informational website to share the exact steps I used
to remove Alpha Antivirus so that others won't have
to go through the same struggles and frustation that I
did. These steps must be followed
exactly if you are to completey remove Alpha

Additional Alpha
Antivirus Information:
What is Alpha
Antivirus?
Alpha Antivirus is a rogue antispyware program that is
designed to get you to purchase a fully licensed, registered
version of the software through various aggressive advertising
techniques and scare tactics.
**Note that Alpha Antivirus is NOT a legitimate spyware
removal software and is actually spyware itself**
Details:
Alpha Antivirus will typically infect your computer via one
of two methods:
1. Trojan - if you are already infected with a Trojan (most
likely the Vundo Trojan), you will then receive
persistent popups that state that your computer is
infected and you need to install Alpha Antivirus in order to
protect your computer.
2. Fake Advertising - when visiting certain websites, you
will see popups from the site that will tell you that your
computer is infected and you need to install Alpha Antivirus to
protect yourself.
Once downloaded and installed, Alpha Antivirus will
configure itself to always run in the background by starting up
automatically each time you reboot and start Windows. The
program will then perform a scan of your computer and those
scan results will show that you have a number of infections
present.
The problem however, is that those scan results list files
and folders that are either non-existent or that are actual
legitimate Windows files that it needs to run properly. If the
legitimate files end up being deleted, your computer may cease
to function.
Also, while it is running you will continue to see
persistent fake security alerts informing you that your
computer has any number of security risks - including files
that have been changed or data being sent over the internet to
a remote host.
All of the scan results and alerts are false and are only
designed to get you to purchase a licensed version of this
bogus antispyware software.
Effects on Your computer:
- General Slowness
- Browser Hijack (changing search results or browser home
pages)
- Certain websites blocked - often legitimate antispyware
sites
- Additional malware and spyware downloading without you
knowing
- Various errors, freezing, and crashes
Critical Information!
- In addition to the above, Cyber Security is also capable of
logging keystrokes, recording your websites visited, browsing
habits, etc. and can send that information over the intenet to
a remote server where a hacker then uses that data to gain
access to your PIN numbers, passwords, credit cards, bank
accounts, and ultimately your identity.

Manual Removal (Not
Recommended):
*Manual removal is not recommended unless you are a trained
technician as deleting legitimate files inadvertently and
editing your system's registry can cause even more issues and
can even cause your computer to become inoperable*
